Dalaman Airport is one of three international airports serving Southwest Turkey. Therefore, our Private Car Service will be at each one to help you!
First of all, Dalaman serves the surrounding tourist areas of Dalaman. In addition, flights from Dalaman are available to and from over 120 destinations. And this includes across the rest of Turkey, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Dalaman Airport began being built in 1976. And it then opened in 1981 as an aerodrome. Finally, Dalaman was promoted to airport status in 1989.
Especially relevant, the Dalaman Airport international terminal cost approximately $150 billion to complete.
Furthermore, it is the third largest terminal building in Turkey. There are 12 boarding gates, 8 with covered airbridges. Once the apron was re-designed, there was an increase in space for remote stands. Consequently, the airport has capacity to handle up to 35 flights at the same time. In total, the terminal now has a floor space of 95,000m2, compared with less than 45,000m2 prior to refurbishment.
Most noteworthy, the upper two levels hold the check-in and departures. So arrivals are using the lower two levels. In addition, the old Terminal is still in use and operates as the domestic terminal.
